Report a data error

Every number on the site is computed from public sources by fixed rules, so one wrong input can show up on many pages. When you spot something that looks wrong, it helps to send:

  • the link to the page,
  • what looks wrong (the figure, chart or label), and
  • the correct value and where you found it, if you have it (an SEC filing, a company release, an official statistic).

When we confirm an error we fix its cause, the data source or the rule, so every page built from it is corrected at the next update. How corrections work is set out in our editorial policy.
