Frequently asked questions
How often is the screener updated?
Every screen is recomputed after each US market close from end-of-day prices for all S&P 1500 stocks. Fundamental figures refresh as companies file their 10-Q and 10-K reports with the SEC.
Where do the fundamentals come from?
Revenue, earnings, cash flow, debt and equity come directly from the XBRL financial data each company files with the SEC. Ratios such as P/E, P/S and dividend yield combine those figures with the latest closing price.
What does the technical rating mean?
It summarises votes from nine moving averages (price above = buy) and eight oscillators such as RSI, MACD, Stochastic and ADX into Strong Buy, Buy, Neutral, Sell or Strong Sell. It describes the current trend, not a forecast.
