Flash Finance US is the United States edition of flashfinance.news and is run by the same team. This page explains how our pages are made, what you can rely on, and what to do when something is wrong.
What we publish
Market data and rule-based analysis of the US stock market: prices and charts for every S&P Composite 1500 company, screens, chart patterns, breadth, sector rotation, financial statements, SEC filings, insider and congressional trades, earnings and economic calendars, and the US economy. We also publish two kinds of AI-written text: plain-English briefs of companies' 8-K filings and a daily after-the-close market recap.
How content is made
- Computed. Almost everything on the site, every price, ratio, rating, screen, pattern and chart, is calculated by fixed, published rules from public data. Numbers are never typed in by hand. The rules are described on the about & methodology page and on the page that uses them.
- Written with AI. The 8-K briefs are summaries of the filing text, written by Anthropic's Claude model since November 2026 (Google's Gemini before that) and linked to the original filing; each brief's page names the model that wrote it. The daily recap is written from that day's published closing numbers only, and software checks it before publication: if it states a figure that is not in the day's data, it is discarded and a fixed template is published instead. Both are labelled as AI-written where they appear.
- No hand edits before publication. AI-written text is published automatically; the checks above are done by software, not by an editor reading each item first. Treat a brief as a guide to the filing, not a substitute for it.
Sources and accuracy
We use primary and official sources wherever they exist: SEC EDGAR for filings, financial statements and insider trades; the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED) for official statistics from the BLS, BEA, the Federal Reserve and others; the Clerk of the House for congressional trades; NYSE rules for market hours. Each page names its source. Data that fails a consistency check (a series that does not match its label, a trade with an unknown ticker or an impossible date) is left out rather than shown.
How often pages update
On market days, filings, insider trades and calendars refresh every hour from 7:15 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. Eastern time; prices, ratings, patterns and the recap are rebuilt once after the close, from 5:30 p.m. ET. Economic data refreshes during the morning release window. Nothing on the site is real-time, and pages show the date their data is as of.
Corrections
If you find an error, email contact@flashfinanceusa.com with the page link and what looks wrong (what to include). When we confirm an error, we fix its cause, the source data or the rule, so every page built from it is corrected at the next update. If a company restates its filings, our figures follow the restated numbers.
Independence
We do not accept payment to cover, rank, include or leave out any company, and we do not publish sponsored content. Rankings, screens and ratings come from the same rules for every stock.
Not investment advice
