What is Form 8-K?
A 'current report' a company must file within four business days of a material event.
8-Ks are organized by numbered items: 2.02 results of operations, 5.02 departure or appointment of officers, 1.01 material agreements, 1.05 cybersecurity incidents, 4.02 financial statements that can no longer be relied on, and so on. Because the item codes are the company's own classification under SEC rules, you can filter the whole market by event type on our SEC filings page.
