Frequently asked questions
How do you trade a rectangle pattern?
Two ways. Range traders buy the floor and sell the ceiling while the box holds. Breakout traders wait for a close outside it. Doing both at once is how people get chopped up.
How many touches make a valid trading range?
At least two clear touches of each boundary, and Flash Finance requires five or more touches in total before it will label a range at all — otherwise every sideways drift qualifies.
What happens after a rectangle breaks?
Old resistance often becomes support, and the first pullback to the broken boundary is where the pattern is usually traded.
