Every classic chart pattern in the US market, found after each close.
Our scanner reads the daily and weekly candles of all 1500 S&P 1500 stocks and keeps the best-fitting formation for each — triangles, wedges, head and shoulders, double tops and bottoms, channels, flags and cup and handle — with the level it has to clear and the measured move it projects if it does.

Triangles & wedges
Ascending Triangle
A flat ceiling with a rising floor — buyers paying up into the same resistance until it gives way.
25Descending Triangle
A flat floor with a falling ceiling — sellers accepting less each time until the support gives way.
42Symmetrical Triangle
Lower highs and higher lows squeezing into a point — a coiling market that has not chosen a side yet.
60Rising Wedge
Price grinding higher inside two rising lines that are closing together — an advance running out of air.
40Falling Wedge
Price sliding lower inside two falling lines that are closing together — a decline losing its force.
Tops & bottoms
Head and Shoulders
Three peaks with the middle one highest — the best known topping pattern there is.
66Inverse Head and Shoulders
Three troughs with the middle one deepest — the classic bottoming pattern.
63Double Top
Two failed attempts at the same high, separated by a dip — the classic M.
47Double Bottom
Two successful defences of the same low, separated by a rally — the classic W.
72Triple Top
Three failed attempts at the same high — heavier supply than a double top.
56Triple Bottom
Three successful defences of the same low — a base with more proof behind it than a double bottom.
Ranges & channels
Rectangle / Trading Range
A flat ceiling and a flat floor — price simply oscillating between two well-defended prices.
50Ascending Channel
A steady uptrend held between two parallel rising lines.
69Descending Channel
A steady downtrend held between two parallel falling lines.

"Away" is the distance from the last close to the trigger line. Targets are the textbook measured move (pattern height projected from the break). Educational research, not a recommendation — patterns fail often, and the newest swing of a forming pattern can still change shape on the next candle.
Frequently asked questions
How are these chart patterns detected?
A percentage ZigZag turns each price series into alternating swing highs and lows. Each of 17 textbook formations is then tested against those swings with explicit geometry rules — flatness, convergence, equal highs, neckline slope — and the best-scoring fit per stock and timeframe is kept.
What is the difference between forming and broken out?
Forming means price is still inside the pattern. Broken out (or down) means the latest close is beyond the trigger line — the neckline or boundary — in the pattern's direction. Patterns whose break has already been given back are marked as failed or dropped.
How reliable are chart patterns?
Treat them as a map of where supply and demand have been, not a prediction. Breakouts on strong volume from well-defined patterns work better; many breakouts fail. Always define where the pattern is invalidated before acting.
Why is my stock not listed?
Most stocks are not in a clean textbook formation at any given time. Only fits scoring above our quality threshold are published, one per stock per timeframe.
